This document provides an overview of the new features, improvements and bug fixes included in version 73 of WOCU-Monitoring.
Correction to the PDF export of the availability report: The issue where the value Unknown appeared in the Host and Service columns of the service availability table when services were grouped by description or command has been resolved.
Automatic creation of Observability Realms: a new signal has been added that allows Observability Realms to be created automatically, along with their corresponding Kibana spaces, simplifying their provisioning and initial configuration.
Expanded permissions for Super Users in Status: new permissions have been added for users with a Super User profile within the Status view. Furthermore, the Status login form now allows you to specify a specific path in the URL.
Filtering by multiple categories in Aggregator Summary: support has been added for selecting multiple categories simultaneously in the Aggregator Summary filters. The selected criteria are combined using AND logic, both on the backend and the frontend.
New ‘Kingdoms by Size’ widget for Telefónica: a new widget has been added to Summary that allows you to view and sort Telefónica’s realm by size.
Selecting a time range in Status metrics widgets: the metrics widgets available in Status now allow you to interactively select a time range to filter the information displayed.
Correction to the inventory report: issues detected in the generation and display of the Inventory Report have been resolved, ensuring that inventory data is retrieved correctly.
Fixes to the Dashboard tab and administrator updates: issues relating to the functioning of the Dashboard tab and to the updating of administrator users have been resolved.
Assigning default permissions to users: the behaviour of permissions has been corrected to ensure that every user always has a default permission.
CSV and JSON export in configuration tables: the option to export data in CSV and JSON formats from the configuration tables for Monitored Contacts, HBP and SBP has been added.
Hiding the ‘Anomalies’ tab in Business Processes: the Anomalies tab is no longer displayed when the host being queried corresponds to a Business Process (BP), as this functionality does not apply to this type of element.
Fix to metrics retrieval: an issue has been resolved whereby certain metrics requests could return incorrect readings.
Update to the default dashboard: the WOCU Default View dashboard has been renamed Realm Status. In addition, new trend charts have been added to expand the information available in the Realm’s initial view.
Improved detection of additional applications: the front-end code responsible for identifying which additional applications are installed has been refactored, improving the dynamic management of available features.
Correction of large values when exporting metrics: issues with display and export when metric data contains very large numerical values have been resolved.
Correction of long names when creating Business Processes: Issues relating to the use of very long names when creating Business Processes (BP) have been resolved.
New icon for Observability Realms: a specific icon has been added to visually identify Observability Realms within the platform.
Standardisation of timestamps in Event Correlator: the format of the timestamps returned by the Event Correlator log listing endpoint has been standardised, ensuring a consistent representation of dates and times.
Improvements to GConf CSV/JSON export: the formatting of exports in CSV and JSON have been corrected, and a pre-check has been added to validate the existence of data in GConf before the export is carried out.
Permission-based control of the Host Issue table: Viewing of the Host Issue table is now subject to the permissions assigned to the user, thereby strengthening access control to this information.
Hiding the Dashboard in multi-realm environments: The Dashboard tab has been hidden in certain multi-realm views where this functionality does not apply.
Correction to the time parameter when exporting anomalies: an error relating to the time parameter used when exporting information from the Anomalies view has been resolved.
Correction of service links in monitoring events: the link associated with the services within the Host Monitoring Events section has been corrected, ensuring that users are directed to the correct service.
New environment variable for Elasticsearch: a new environment variable has been added to store the Elasticsearch Master API Key, which is used by the
configure_kibana_realm_spacesscript to configure the Kibana spaces associated with the Realms.Error message for non-existent hosts: when attempting to access a host that does not exist, the platform now displays a specific error message instead of displaying an incomplete or incorrect view.
Fix for Capacity and Quality in multi-realm Health: Issues relating to the calculation and display of the Capacity and Quality indicators in the Health dashboards when working in multi-realm environments have been resolved.
Correcting exclusions using regular expressions in metrics reports: an issue in the Metrics Evolutions reports has been resolved, whereby certain regular expressions used to exclude metrics were not being applied correctly.
Correction to the calculation of licence assets: The calculation of the number of assets consumed per licence has been improved when Livestatus returns an unexpected statistics response.
Permission adjustments for running reports: the permissions associated with the Run action for reports have been adjusted to ensure that only authorised users can run them.
Fix to the Anomalies table in multi-realm mode: issues with the display and functionality of the anomalies table in multi-realm contexts have been resolved.
Correction to the ‘Typical’ column and export of anomalies: the content displayed in the Typical column of the anomalies table has been corrected, as has its behaviour during data export.
Editing Status widgets on narrow screens: It is now possible to edit Status widgets on screens with lower resolutions. Furthermore, the maximum length allowed for the View Name field has been increased to 50 characters.
Dynamic updating of the problem counter: the total problem count displayed in the sidebar is now updated automatically every time the problem table is refreshed, ensuring that the information displayed remains synchronised.
Optimisation of pagination in audit and event tables: the generation of unnecessary additional pagination in the Audit and Monitoring Events tables has been prevented when the number of records exceeds 10,000 entries.
Correction to the Engine Config Summary response code: The HTTP status code returned by the `engine-config-summary` endpoint has been corrected, ensuring that the response is consistent with the result of the request.
